About Phil

Phil Stolle is a web developer residing in Leander, Texas which is just outside the booming tech center of Austin. Currently he works for ETS-Lindgren as their prinicipal Webmaster. ETS-Lindgren is a highly engineered manufacturing company that provides products and services for the EMC, RF Microwave, MRI Shielding and Acoustic Test Chamber industry. A long-time Austinite and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Phil’s prior work includes Webmaster of Concordia University Texas for over five years. Phil started in web development in the non-profit sector in the mid-90’s and has evolved his career along with the development of the web.

Thoughtsparks.net is a natural overflow of Phil’s passion for web technology. He greatly enjoys writing and creating tutorials, both written and now in video format, that empower others to experiment and grow their web skills.  But thoughtsparks is more than a blog of tutorials. The posts are written to equip, encourage and provoke thinking about subjects as wide as caffeine addiction to browser plug-ins. The content written comes from professional and personal experience. Many posts are often the result of questions and comments by you the reader. If you have a web, technical or life question that relates to the content of this blog, ask away.

The idea behind "Igniting Ideas for the Common Good" comes from the Biblical concept that it is better to give than receive. The author is only as enthused to publish as people are to gain from its content. He is a highly interactive author that responds quite promptly to posts to the site.

Apart from technology, Phil is a happily married husband to a beautiful lady named Sabrina. He has three daughters that are the joy of his life and is a very proud pappa. Beyond family and work life, Phil is very involved with helping to start a new church fellowship in Leander called CedarRidge Church.
