Aside from uploading installation and plug-in files, everything can pretty much be done in the browser. Many hosts even proven a click-and-install option for an instance of WordPress. I have both mac and pc systems but would prefer to do all of the work on my mac. Is it possible to do so from a mac and is it possible to then edit via mac or pc? In terms of upgrade you've got a great point. I just like it's simple implementation and auto back-up on a weekly basis. There is something comforting to know that all my sites data is backed-up on a regular basis.
