Sparking Thoughts in New Places

Recently, I was accepted to author articles on rustylime.com. Rustylime is an online magazine of editorials, reviews and news briefs. For regular thoughtsparks.net readers, most articles will be reposts from this site. It will come as no surprise to you that I will most often be writing topics in the technology and communication categories. Catch my first article, which is a recent repost of the article Photo Sites Must Adequately Inform  Copyright Usage.

I had the privilege this last month to speak with a web design class at a local private high school. There was a nice write-up on ets-lindgren.com on my presentation entitled "Web 2.what?"

I saw it posted, and figured it was your first one. Great Job!

Have you given any thought to the whole “Google hates duplicate content” issue?

Oh, and that was a really great write up your company did. It sure is nice to be appreciated!

Mike, Thanks for the comments. The process of blogging is churning in me some thoughts on more thorough planning of post series. Those may fly well for rustylime as well. I don’t think Google would have an issue with reposting to two different sites. If I were to post wholesale all of my content it would be a potential ding, but an article here or there should have little effect. Good thought though, I’ll do more research on the topic. It may behoove me to present the info with a little different spin rather than direct duplication. Hmmm…

It is indeed good to be appreciated. I’m thankful for my place of employment.
