Two Blogs for the Price of One

A month ago I posed the question “One Blog Becomes Two?” in which I spoke of dividing Thoughtsparks.net into two blogs, one for reflections and thoughts, and one for straight tech-oriented information. The resounding response I got back was “leave thoughtsparks.net alone”. I heard you and continue to publish thoughtsparks.net as I have with a mix of topics that seems to hit a positive note for folks. Now enters TechFires.com as a supplement or sister blog to thoughtsparks. Techfires is evolving into a multi-author blog that posts “rapid-fire reviews of hot technology”. It provides a brain-dump if you will of all the groovy stuff that is discovered but not necessarily warrants a longer post. Thoughtsparks will remain a place for tutorials, insights and useful tech-oriented information in addition to the random meanderings of this here techie dude from Austin. So there ya have it, for better or worse, two blogs for the price of one.

BTW, I’m happy to announce that Scott Blitstein from mythermos.com has joined me as a co-author. Welcome to the site Scott. He is a real-life web guru that has some great in-the-trenches tips and helps to share that will be an asset to TechFires.com and to all of us looking for the innovations in web technology.

Ooooh. You are a glutton for punishment, my man. Two blogs is tough!

Yes, I believe I am. On the other hand, Scott who commented above is joining me and it’s quite possible a couple others may jump in as well. TechFires is really a brain dump of all the amazing stuff I come across, test-out and implement day-in and day-out. It’s very focused and straight forward in it’s implementation. Thoughtsparks is a deeper running stream that takes a greater amount of energy. All total with work and other tasks, yeah it’s a full plate.
