Vanity of Vanities, Saith the Blogger
Posted on August 16, 2007
Tis a quandry I confess, to post new photo of me nonetheless. Is it more humble to deny the refresh of my mug on this fair blog? Or better to betray the reader with an image of one writer years before? Yes, Now you see me in my glory or is it more humility as I near forty? I don’t know and inconsequential, perhaps new photos though have the potential to provide a more true look at this here bloke. Do not think with great vanity that I post to win some accolade or notoriety. No, for many more handsome gents be that can claim more charming features than one such as me.

Hi Phil,
I swear you could make a morgage document read like a novel!
Your new picture is GREAT! I like seeing my “cyber” friends!
JJ
Jen, I humbly bow in appreciation of your adoration for my articulation. I’m fascinated by how information is communicated. I think sometimes the means or phrasing of our words itself carries meaning beyond the facts. Quite a bit different than, “hey, I posted a new pic.” Glad you appreciate the photo. I enjoy seeing updated shots of folks as well. Helps to know folks better until one day when the opportunity for our paths to cross in person.
Great prose, Phil. L-O-V-E it. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right? I could have a new avatar each day and look completely like a different person. It makes life interesting around here!
