It hits you unexpectedly. That thought you race to scribble on paper or pound-out for a post. Inspiration, the breathing-in of fresh ideas, comes at almost any moment through many pathways. Creativity is a fascinating human trait that is really hard to dissect. In fact, the moment one tries to do so, it evaporates.
It seems that the ever talented Christy has found inspiration along the way from my thought sparks. I consider it an honor to be so awarded thusly as there are surely many worthy of this award. By the way, do visit her site for the whole scoop on these delightful awards.
While inspiration often hits me in inexplicable ways, I do find some sources in the form of other bloggers that communicate ideas, stories and perspectives that fuel my thinking. There are many, but I mention five as of late that have had significant impact. I really appreciate you dear friends.
Dave with his fervent pursuit for love, honor and respect of others. I have grown to appreciate his brute honesty and vulnerability.
Jennifer with her fresh ideas and sweet demeanor. She has graced my blog a number of times as of late with her thoughtful remarks.
Matt, Lord Matt, Multi Matt, my friend and mi compadre, the prolific, the engaging, the technically minded and astute commentator on the bleeding edge.
Sam the very wise man. His kindness and sincerity is a gift. His search for truth is refreshing. His life lived in integrity is challenging and endearing.
And last but in no way least. The ever delightful, ever thoughtful and encouraging, the lover of words and voice with laughter, the indisputable source for a new science to emerge alongside all of the other ‘ologies…the creator and embodiment of Kellementology, Kelly. (OK maybe it’s a bit cruel to pass this one along to her while on vacation, but I couldn’t resist).

Phil, Thanks for the Inspirational Blogger award. I am really encouraged. I am not really that wise. There are so many things to learn in life. Many of those wise sayings that I shared in my blog are from wise guys indeed. Well, while sharing, I did take the opportunity to remind myself to walk the talk. My children and my wife always tease me when I am not walking the talk
Once again, thank you Phil.
Best Wishes
Thank you Phil, what a wonderful post, you have a way of making whatever you say sound beautiful, which of course is very inspiring!
Sam, You my friend are one who seeks after wisdom. Humility and wisdom go hand-in-hand. Those I know who I would describe as wise never consider themselves to have attained or accomplished that goal. Yes, my children and wife have a unique and powerful way of pulling me back in line.
Christy, It is my pleasure to be in the stream of what you are doing. I love your attitude. Those are very kind words.
Thank you. My first nomination would have been youself for the same award… you clearly deserve it.
Hi Phil,
Thank you so very much for this kindness!
I find my blogging friends some of the most inspirational folks I have come across… it seems a few minutes visiting my favorite blogs provides me with encouragment and insight and strength!
Your writing is beautiful and your messages profound!
Thank you so very much Phil,
Jen
Matt, yours is well deserved. Your technical mind is one that I gain much from on several fronts.
Jen, I so agree with you. I feel so much richer for my online friendships. How splendid to get to know folks without geographic limitations.
Phil,
Thank you for the nod my friend. It feels especially rewarding coming from you. I don’t know if I have mentioned this before but your writing style is one that I am trying to learn from. Funny fact: I really enjoy Kelly’s style too. Of all my blogging family, you two stand out to me as having a quality about your writing; it’s difficult to describe. I guess I’d have to call it “honest creative freedom.” Sometimes I look at ideas that I have recently written about, and I wonder ‘how would such & such have written/expressed this idea, what would be their style and approach.’ Often you have been one of those what-if filters for me. I believe this compare/contrast is a really integral element to our being able to find our own writer’s voice.
I appreciate you too Phil.
Dave, That’s a very high compliment. Thank you, I am truly touched by your words. Truth be known, I’ve not always been a prolific writer. Writing well is as much an analogy of a marathon runner as it is an artist. There is creativity in writing no doubt, but one must exercise their literary muscle diligently to become an effective communicator. I hope that I’m ever moving more in that direction. While I enjoy writing and find my vocabulary growing, there are significant aspects to my communication that I want to cultivate. So let’s encourage one another, write with excellence and invigorate the art of the written word within us.
Congratulations. I always feel mentally stimulated after a visit to your blog!
Thanks Random, I could have easily added you to the list as well.

I agree with this completely, thanks for the post.
